Anthony Mollica is professor emeritus, Faculty of Education, Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada where he taught language methodology courses in French, Italian, Spanish and English as a second/foreign languages for twenty years. Born in Motticella (RC), he went to Canada at the age of 11 where he obtained an M.A. from the University of Toronto. He was a program consultant for the Ontario Ministry of Education and coordinator of languages for a school board before accepting a teaching position in the Faculty of Education. Author and/or editor of over 60 books as well as editor of The Canadian Modern Language Review and founder of Mosaic. The Journal for Language Teachers, Anthony Mollica is now considered the “creator” of recreational linguistics – using word games in in second language teaching and learning. He has lectured in Italy, Canada, United States, Serbia, Slovenia, Australia, France and Greece. He has received several awards including the prestigious appointment of honorary member to the Associazione per la Storia della Lingua Italiana, in 2011
